Youtube uloaded videos to be maintain in private listing

In this version it is not possible. I hadn’t built that into the initial version of the plugin. But, I will be releasing a commercial version of the plugin which includes a front end uploader an uploader widget and the option to select a playlist and to set the privacy levels of user submitted videos.

I’m about %50 done with the plugin. I chose to split the plugin in I a free and premium version because YouTube is updating their API and , in a few months, will no longer support the code in the plugin you are using now. When that is complete I am going to release a watered down free version into the repository to take this plugins place and have the premium version up for sale here.

I’m aiming to have a beta done by mid august. When it’s released you’ll get an update notice to the plugin, which will have a link to the premium version in it.

Their are a ton of new features planned such as front end uploading, playlist creation/building, subscription browsing, playlist browsing, playlist/video inserting, auto importing (whenever a user uploads a video a post is created automatically) , manual single idea import and a bit more.

Stay tuned. The plugin is looking awesome, I’m excited for the release.

I am aiming to release the free version of the plugin at some point this weekend (even if it’s Sunday night, I’ll try my hardest).

I’m currently still in the development phase, I have to get the settings page ironed out before the free version is complete.

The free version will replace the current version in the repository, so I’m sure you’ll get an update to the dashboard. I’ll need to figure out a way to clear out the old settings when updating to the latest version.

I’m probably looking to charge 20-30$ for a single site license for the premium version. The free version will have the basic functionality of the current version minus the ability to browse other users feeds.

I’m sure I’ll set up a test site with the premium version running for a trial run before deciding if one wants to buy the premium version. I can tell you the premium version is going to be completely stacked up, functionality wise, compared to the version in the repository.

Thanks for your interest in the plugin. I’ve been working diligently every weekend in hopes to get things done and released. I’ve changed around the business model of how I plan on releasing things. My initial thoughts were to release a free and premium versions of the plugin, but found this to be less than ideal as the plugin would be bloated with features many users would never use.

I’ve since gone a separate route and decided I want to use the premium add on model. I have just a few finishing touches to put on to the base plugin ( the free version that will be found in the repo ). After that I have to continue work on two of the extensions I plan to release first ( user uploads , and player customizer ).

I have no scheduled date for those, but know that they are going to take far less time to develop than the core plugin. I have a beta version of the latest YouTube Plus plugin, but there are a few small things I need to iron out (hopefully I will get around to doing that tonight and tomorrow morning).

The largest piece of the puzzle is certainly all of the documentation and tutorials that need to come along with the plugin. I need to get around to setting up a completely independent site, as I intend for this plugin to get fairly large and have a larger user base. I want to have an independant site to house to add ons, tutorials/walkthroughs and any support forums that I need to help out users.

So as you can see there is still a bit to go in the overall plan of things, but in regards to the plugin itself I should have the core plugin done fairly soon, with the user extension add-on not far behind it.
